Michelle Perez joined Chalat Hatten & Banker in 2013 as a Legal Assistant and Spanish Interpreter. She supports the firm’s partners with retrieval of medical records and bills, as well as case filing and organization. Currently, Michelle is helping the firm expand their Spanish speaking clientele.
Michelle was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and grew up in the small town of Peñuelas. She moved to Colorado in 1993. Michelle is a Native Spanish speaker, and also speaks French. She studied Fine Arts, French and Marketing, and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting from the University of Colorado Denver. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with friends, painting, reading and cooking. She also volunteers in various non-profit organizations that help women and families in the Spanish speaking community.
Brenda Fetchen joined Chalat Hatten & Banker in 2014 as a Paralegal, Office Manager and Notary Public. As a paralegal, she supports the firm’s partners with preparing legal documents, organizing, indexing and tracking files for various client cases, retrieving medical records and bills, and providing administrative support. Also, Brenda preforms various duties concerning the firm’s financial department relating to accountants receivable and accounts payable.
Brenda was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a minor in International Business. She moved to Colorado in 2004. During her time in Colorado, Brenda chose to pursue a career as a paralegal. She obtained a Paralegal Certification from the Community College of Aurora in 2014. In her spare time, Brenda enjoys hiking, skiing, and crafting.
Denise Ramirez joined Chalat Hatten & Banker in 2014 as a Personal Injury Paralegal and a Notary Public. She supports the firm’s partners from the initial stages of the case to complex litigation support of ski accident cases, motor vehicle collision cases, and medical malpractice.
Denise is from the agricultural city of Yakima, Washington. She obtained her Paralegal Certification from Yakima’s Perry Technical Institute in 2011. She is bilingual in Spanish and came to the firm with personal injury experience as a Paralegal / Case Manager. Since moving to Colorado in 2014, Denise has enjoyed exploring the state’s surroundings with her family. She enjoys baking with her daughter, cooking, and long walks at the local parks.
