Killington Resort in Vermont has opened the new ski season! The resort became the first to open for the season, welcoming pass holders on Sunday and the public on Monday.

Skiing is open on two groomed runs in the North Ridge and on six features in the Reason Terrain Park. Access to open terrain will be via the K-1 Express Gondola which will upload from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and the North Ridge Triple which will operate from 9:00 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Please note that available terrain is for expert skiers and riders only.

In Colorado, Loveland and Keystone began making snow earlier this month, but warm temperatures and low humidity put a halt to efforts. Weather forecast for the high country includes snow showers for the rest of the week, so we may be in the race again.
